Traditional Driver Education Classroom & Behind-the-Wheel 2024
The Teen Driver Education course consists of 30 classroom hours and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction with state-certified instructors. Students must be at least 15 years of age by the first day of class. Any absences must be made up per state regulations. All students must have a permit before scheduling behind-the-wheel lessons (please see the FAQ page for additional regulations). Updated guidelines as of 9/1/23: Drive times are to be scheduled and completed within 365 days from the last day of classroom.
A $105 deposit is due within 7 days of the online registration to hold your seat. This deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred to a different class. The balance must be paid by the start of the first class. We accept cash, check, money order, Cashapp($drivingdoc), Zelle (email: onrdriving@gmail.com), and Venmo(@drivingdoc-4 digit phone # is 4822) payments. If paying with Venmo, please be sure you DO NOT turn on the option "Turn on for Purchases" (goods/services option) before you submit your payment or we will be charged a transaction fee. That fee will be charged back to you & must be paid before your student can start their course. We DO NOT accept debit or credit cards.

Online Driver Education Classroom & Behind-the-Wheel 2024
The online course is provided by Teach Safe and is approved by the Indiana BMV. The online course consists of 30 hours of online coursework and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction with state-certified instructors. Students must be 15 years of age or older to begin the online course. Students need to register and pay fees in full prior to starting the online course. Once payment is received, an email will be sent with a link that will allow you access to the online course.
The CDE form, needed to obtain a permit, will be issued once the online classroom portion has been completed. The course must be completed within 120 days. A 30 day extension will be granted for an additional fee of $30. An extension must be requested within 60 days of the expiration of the online course. Up to (3) 30 day extensions will be allowed. Updated guidelines as of 9/1/23: Drive times must be scheduled and completed within 365 days of completion of the course.

Behind The Wheel-IF AN ONLINE COURSE HAS BEEN COMPLETED
THIS COURSE IS OFFERED TO THOSE STUDENTS THAT HAVE COMPLETED AN ONLINE COURSE AND ARE IN NEED OF THE 6 HOURS OF BEHIND THE WHEEL INSTRUCTION. This course provides the state-required 6 hours of driving instruction. Teens who have taken a state-approved online course and have received their certificate of completion are eligible. The certificate of completion and full payment must be received before a CDE form will be issued or any driving times can be scheduled. All driving sessions are one-on-one instruction and are one hour in length. Updated guidelines as of 9/1/23: Drive times are to be scheduled and completed within 365 days.

Adult Behind The Wheel-IF NO CLASS/ONLINE HAS BEEN TAKEN
THIS COURSE IS OFFERED TO ADULT STUDENTS IN NEED OF BEHIND THE WHEEL INSTRUCTION ONLY. This course provides 6 hours of driving instruction. Full payment must be received before any driving times can be scheduled. If any drive times result in a no show or cancellation, the $50 fee must be paid before the next drive time can be scheduled or completed. All driving sessions are one-on-one instruction and are one hour in length. Updated guidelines as of 9/1/23: Drive times are to be scheduled and completed within 365 days.

Driving Skills Test
The driving skills test, that is required of all students in order to obtain a license, can be taken at our location, with one of our certified instructors. This option is available ONLY to students that have completed a full course through our company (online course & driving OR classroom & driving), or have taken a different state approved drivers ed online course and have completed the 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction with our company. This service is not available to anyone else that is just needing a driving test. We charge a fee of $40 for this service. Returning siblings of past students, will receive this option at a discounted price of $25. Students will use our car and instructor, and will not be required to take the test with the BMV. Students must be at least 16 years of age and have their 50 hour driving log completed. There is a $25 no show fee or a late cancellation fee, if not cancelled outside of a 24 hour window.
